Saskatchewan Province latest draw selected 391 applicants

Invited 391 PNP candidates, Express Entry and Occupations In-Demand candidates were invited in the new Saskatchewan PNP draw. Saskatchewan province held a new round of invitations on September 27.

The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) new round of invitations was conducted on September 27 and invited 391 candidates in two immigration programs - Express Entry and Occupations In-Demand candidate. The minimum score of selection was 71 points on Saskatchewan’s Expression of Interest (EOI) ranking system. In the total 391 candidates numbers, the SINP’s Express Entry subcategory selected 152 applicants, and the Occupations In-Demand subcategory selected 239 applicants.

The Important Aspects of the draw

    • ITA – 391
    • CRS – 71

In both the streams, there were 61 eligible occupations and the list can be checked on Saskatchewan’s government website. The applicants were required to have Educational Credential Assessments to ascertain that their foreign education is as per the Canadian standard.

    Saskatchewan’s Express Entry subcategory

Saskatchewan’s Express Entry subcategory is an enhanced Provincial Nominee Program (PNP), which means that it is linked to the federal Express Entry system.

Express Entry System is a point-based federal system of skilled workers selection in three subcategories - Federal Skilled Worker Program, Federal Skilled Trades Program, and Canadian Experience Class. Those who meet the point score are the ones with the ITA. The scores are calculated with the help of the Comprehensive Ranking System tool. The applicants who receive the provincial nomination are also eligible for 600 extra points in the federal score calculation. This helps them meet the draw score in the next federal draw and guarantees their ITA.

    The Occupations In-Demand subcategory

The Occupations In-Demand subcategory of Saskatchewan is a base PNP, which means this stream can help applicants to immigrate even if they do not have an Express Entry profile.

This subcategory is created to help the highly skilled workers with experience in-demand occupations in Saskatchewan. They are the individuals who do not yet have a job offer in the province. For Canadian immigration through this subcategory, the foreign nationals should have an EOI profile through the SINP’s online application system.

Saskatchewan’s EOI system helps the province to select immigration candidates. Candidates are evaluated as per the work experience, education, language ability, age, and connections to the province demonstrate their ability to settle in Saskatchewan.
