    Saskatchewan province invited 528 immigration candidates

    On September 8, Saskatchewan province held the latest round of invitations through the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP). In this draw, the province selected 528 candidates to apply for one of two immigration programs - Express Entry and Occupations In-Demand subcategories. Out of the total 528 applicants selected, there was 316 eligible through the SINP’s Express Entry subcategory and 212 through the Occupations In-Demand subcategory. The minimum score requirement in each category required a point score of 66 in the Expression of Interest (EOI) ranking system.

    The latest draw had 16 eligible occupations for each category. To be selected in any of the subcategories, there is an Educational Credential Assessments requirement.

    Saskatchewan's Express Entry subcategory

    Saskatchewan's Express Entry subcategory is an enhanced Provincial Nominee Program (PNP), Which means that it is linked to the federal Express entry system.

    The Applicants are picked from the express entry pool and selected through three subcategories - Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), Federal Skilled Trades Program, and Canadian Experience Class. It is those applicants who meet the  EOI score who get picked for the nomination. The shortlisted applicants are also eligible for additional 600 points toward their Comprehensive Ranking System score.

    The Occupations In-Demand subcategory

    The Occupations In-Demand subcategory of Saskatchewan province is also a base PNP. It means that the applicants who do not have an Express Entry profile can also relocate with the help of this stream. The applicants should have an EOI profile through the SINP's online application system.

    Saskatchewan's EOI system helps the province select immigration candidates who can thrive in the prairie province.
