    Quebec Province invited health workers, educators to the new Arrima draw

    The second round of invitations was held for Quebec province under the Quebec Regular Skilled Worker Program (QSWP). In this latest draw, there were 536 candidates selected with work experience.

    Candidates with the invitations to apply for permanent selection were selected by the Ministère de l’Immigration, de la Francisation et de l’Intégration (MIFI) in the latest draw. They are required to have a score of at least 562 in the Arrima pool. The targeted applicants were those who had a valid job offer outside the Montréal Metropolitan area, and their work occupations were currently in demand in Quebec.

    The targeted occupations which have been in demand in the Quebec region are –

    • Secondary school teachers (NOC 4031);
    • Nurse aides, orderlies, and patient service associates (NOC 3413);
    • Elementary school and kindergarten teachers (NOC 4032);
    • Registered nurses and registered psychiatric nurses (NOC 0312);
    • Early childhood educators and assistants (NOC 4214);
    • Licensed practical nurses (NOC 3233);

    The invitations were sent earlier, once a week, but now the province has picked up the pace. The Invitations for September months were sent out twice in Septemeber, and now there are record invitations sent out by Quebec province. The August month also saw the Arrima being conducted every week- the number of appellants in each draw exceeded 500, which is more than any other draw conducted this year.

    The September 30th draw is the tenth draw of the year, and there are 3,200 applicants selected to apply for permanent selection by the Quebec province with this draw so far.

    What is the Quebec Regular Skilled Worker Program?

    The Quebec province sub-stream of the Quebec Regular Skilled Worker Program helps the skilled workers and International graduates with talent immigrate to the Quebec province with ease. The shortlisted appellants need to meet the points core requirements, after which they will have 60 days to submit the application and complete the process by paying the processing fees. The selected appellants receive the Certificat de sélection du Québec (CSQ or Quebec Selection Certificate) before they apply for permanent residence to the Canadian federal government.

    Quebec province has its own selection system, and those who wish to settle under this system need to go through the province's own pattern.
