On July 29, Manitoba province invited another 375 candidates for Nomination. It was just two days after its largest draw ever. The selected applicants can apply for a nomination from the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP). The selected applicants will get their nomination application successfully accepted for Canadian permanent residence.
• Skilled Workers in Manitoba— there are 285 invitations with a minimum EOI score of 400;
• Skilled Workers Overseas— there are 47 invitations with a minimum EOI score of 708; and
• International Education Stream — there are 43 invitations with no EOI score requirement???
A total of 42 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) went to Express Entry candidates.
Manitoba handles the immigration programs through the MPNP and supports immigration applications. Canadian provinces issue provincial nominations, and for immigration to Manitoba, the applicant needs to register an Expression of Interest with the MPNP. The applicant can receive an LAA through the Skilled Workers in Manitoba and Skilled Workers Overseas streams. The applicants are ranked out of 1,000 points for Human factors and also for connections to the province.
The Skilled Workers Overseas Category and Skilled Workers in Manitoba streams allow the province to select candidates as per their labor market needs. The applicants need to demonstrate connections to Manitoba with aspects such as close family ties, previous experience in the province, or an invitation through one of Manitoba’s Strategic Recruitment Initiatives. To file an application, the candidate need not be living in Manitoba at the time of your application. The applicants require a full-time job offer from a provincial employer under the Skilled Workers in Manitoba category.
International graduates can receive an invitation under the International Education Stream if they demonstrate in-demand skills.
The Express Entry program is for the skilled workers who can immigrate through three streams - the Canadian Experience Class, the Federal Skilled Worker Program, and the Federal Skilled Trades Program.
The applicants can also skip the PNP process and receive a permanent residence invitation if they have applied through Express Entry. Getting a provincial nomination guarantees that Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada with the right to apply for Canadian permanent residence and help get the 600-point award. The applicants can get their profile ranked with the help of the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) tool, and with the help of the factors like age, work experience, education, and language skills, among others, they are assessed. The applicants are assessed in the express entry pool, and it is eth high scoring candidates who receive invitations for permanent residence. Creating a profile is the first step in provincial Nomination.
