With this latest draw, the Manitoba province has selected a total of 1,292 candidates so far in 2021.
What is the Manitoba Immigration process?
Manitoba province has many streams through which the desiring appellants can quickly relocate. The streams are designed to meet the credential of skilled workers and help the region attract international talent.
The MPNP cannot provide the permanent residency status, but it can help the applicants receive the Provincial nomination. For the provincial nomination from Manitoba, the candidate needs to register an Expression of Interest with the MPNP. It is a point-based calculation system of the province for skilled workers, which helps the applicants be ranked out of 100o points based on human capital factors and also their connections to the province.
The appellants who meet the point score requirement receive the Letters of Advice to Apply (LAA) through the Skilled Workers in Manitoba and Skilled Workers Overseas streams.
For the Skilled Workers Overseas Category and Skilled Workers, the applicants are selected as per the skills and their ability to meet the labor market shortage and contribute to economic growth.
The appellants need to showcase their connections to Manitoba with close family ties, previous experience in the province, or the applicant can be selected through Manitoba’s Strategic Recruitment Initiatives. The applicant need not be in Manitoba at the time the application is made eligible.
To get a selection under the Skilled Workers in Manitoba category, the applicant requires a full-time job offer from a Manitoba employer.
In the case of international graduates who have studied in Manitoba, they can get an LAA under the International Education Stream; however, they need to prove that they have in-demand skills.
Express Entry candidates who are invited through the MPNP
Express Entry program is an immigration pathway for skilled workers which invites applicants for Canadian permanent residence. There are three streams under this program, and the applicant is free to apply through any of them. It is a point-based selection system where the applicants are ranked as per age, work experience, education, and language skills, and it is the highest-scoring candidate in the regular Express Entry draws who get shortlisted.
The applicants who receive the nomination through this stream are eligible for 600 Bonus points in the next express entry score calculation.
