BC PNP Tech Pilot Program
The BC PNP Tech Pilot is fast track program for tech workers and international students. To be shortlisted in the tech pilot program, the applicants need to be registered in one of B.C.’s existing provincial immigration streams. They should also have an authentic and valid job offer of a minimum of 12 months with eligibility in one of the Tech Pilot’s 29 eligible occupations.
The Skills Immigration or Express Entry BC categories can start the process by creating a profile through the BC PNP’s online portal. They can start by registering under Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS). It is only after the applicants are evaluated and assessed, and they meet the point score requirement they are selected for immigration. There are a number of factors like level of education, years of direct work experience, and having a B.C. job offer which helps in the point calculation of the applicant. It is a weekly draw that has been conducted. The Tech Pilot program got launched in 2017 and since then it has been a highly lucrative program of the province for the selection of tech workers. The tech pilot program has now been extended until June 2021.
