British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP)

The BC PNP selects foreign workers whose occupations are in high demand in the province. There are two main immigration streams, Skills Immigration and Express Entry, and both of these streams are divided into sub-categories.

These streams are regulated through the B.C.’s Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS). To apply through this system, the appellant should first create an account. The scores are based on the factors such as education, work experience, and language skills. It is the high-scoring applicants who are selected for a provincial nomination in regular draws.

After receiving the Invitation, the applicants have 30 days to apply with a complete appellation through the BC PNP online system. After submitting a complete BC PNP application, the candidates will be notified of the province’s decision within approximately two to three months. The candidates who are selected through the enhanced PNP stream of B.C. are eligible for additional 600 points in the subsequent federal express entry draw calculation.

Despite the pandemic situation, BC PNP has been conducting regular draws and has selected a large number of applicants as well.
