    BC Tech Pilot Program

The British Columbia Tech Pilot program is a very fast way of immigrating to the Province for the tech workers and international students. The program was launched in 2017, and since then, it is applauded as one of Canada's lucrative ways. It has recently gained an extension till June 2021. The applicants who wish to use this pathway need to be registered in any one of the programs of BC province, and the applicant should also have a valid job offer for at least 12 months in one of the Tech Pilot occupations. There are 29 eligible occupations in the tech sectors.

To be eligible for the Skills Immigration and the Express Entry BC categories, the candidates must be registered in the BC PNP's online portal and under Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS).

The applicants are evaluated as per the point score requirement, and those who meet the score are provided with the ITA. The scores are calculated as per age, work experience, and a job offer from a BC employer. The selected applicants are eligible for 600 additional points in the federal express entry system.

Express Entry draw is the central path for skilled workers immigration, and the recent EE draw was held on 21 Jan 2020 in which 4626 applicants were selected. It was one of the largest draws of express entry since the program had been launched in 2015. In 2021 so far, there have been six draws that have been conducted in various PNP and streams, and in these, there have been around 1000 applicants selected. Now, the applicants who have received the nomination have 30 days to apply.
