    British Columbia PNP

The BC PNP selects foreign workers for the province to meet the labor market demand. There are two immigration streams, Skills Immigration and Express Entry of B.C., and there are divided into sub-categories. For selection under both the streams, the applicant needs to be registered under B.C.’s Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS). Once the applicant has registered himself and created an account, then the score is calculated as per the education, work experience, and language skills. It is the high-scoring applicants who are shortlisted. The candidates who receive the application have 30 days to submit all the documents. The nomination is valid for six months from the date of confirmation.

British Columbia Express Entry BC stream

The EEBC stream is linked to the Express Entry system. The federal Express Entry is a point-based calculation of the abilities of the applicant through factors such as age, work experience, education, and language proficiency in English or French under the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). There are three streams under the program,

    • Federal Skilled Worker Program
    • Federal Skilled Trades Program
    • Canadian Experience Class

    British Columbia Tech Pilot Program

The province selects a lot of tech sector skilled workers through regular draws conducted under the BC PNP Tech Pilot. It is a fast-track immigration program for skilled in-demand tech workers and also for international students. To be selected, the applicant should be registered under any one of B.C.’s existing provincial immigration streams and should have a valid job offer of 12 months in any of the Tech Pilot’s 29 eligible occupations. The program was launched in 2017, and since then, it has been a very popular program that has assessed the B.C. Tech Sector talent. It is a successful program; therefore, it has been extended till 2021.

There was a recent Labour Force Survey as per which the B.C.’s professional, scientific and technical services industry has seen a rise of 15.6 percent in February 2020 and February 2021, and this growth has been witnessed despite the pandemic situation.

There are 2432 applicants selected so far for Provincial Nomination in 2021 by BC PNP.
