The Important Aspects of The Draw – Alberta Immigration Nominee Program

    ·        ITA – 148

    ·        CRS – 302

This latest draw has increased the number of selected applicants for Alberta province to 2,432 Express Entry candidates. This is a large number since January 2021, as in the latter months of 2020, Alberta province went on a hiatus and refrained from selecting the applicants. Alberta will be issuing 6,250 nomination certificates in 2021 as per the target set by the province.

All the candidates invited do not receive the provincial nomination. Those applicants who get the nomination are eligible to apply for permanent residency in the federal government next draw. With the 600 additional points for the nomination, the chances of selection of applicants are bright in the federal draw.

How can one get selected in the Alberta Express Entry stream?

The Alberta Express Entry stream is a provincial stream that helps the applicants get selected from the federal government's Express Entry pool of candidates. The province selects the applicants as per their credentials and also the labor market demand in the region. To be considered, it is important to have a profile in the federal express entry system. The three sub streams of the Express entry are - Canadian Experience Class, Federal Skilled Worker Program, and Federal Skilled Trades Program.

The provincial scores are calculated with the help of the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) tool, and the point calculation is based on the factors of age, language, education, work experience, or adaptability. It is the highs coring candidates who get selected.

If the selected appellants in today's draw wish to apply for Permanent residency, then they can be selected with a score of 900 points. As the CRS score of 302 combined with 600 additional points will give them a high 902 point score

What is the Alberta Express Entry Stream Eligibility?

To be selected for Provincial nomination under the Alberta express entry stream, the candidate needs to have skills and work experience in the eligible job occupation. There is no list of eligible occupations for the province, but there is a lot of occupations that are not eligible.

Also, the appellant should have an intention of living and work in Alberta. Having Canadian education or a relative in Alberta can also help your case immensely.

A lot of people who have been selected under this stream in the past are people who are food service supervisors, transport truck drivers, and cooks.
