  • The score required – 80 (Express Entry BC (EEBC) and Skills Immigration streams both )

The score requirement in the BC PNP draws has been consistent since mid-June with almost the same requirement every time. There are weekly draws held in Tech Pilot categories of British Columbia. The Coronavirus pandemic has highlighted the importance of the technological framework and brought to focus our dependence on technology. Hence, the IT stream has been a very lucrative immigration category in recent times, and the province has also invited a lot of appellants in the IT sector. Since its launch in 2017, the tech pilot program is a very successful program of BC PNP. The tech pilot has 29 eligible occupations, and the applicant with Job offers is considered for the same. The Program meets the demand and supply gap of the labor workforce in the province.

The eligibility requirement for the Tech Pilot program entails –
  • A profile in any one of the B.C.’s provincial immigration streams
  • A valid job offer of at least 12 months in a Tech Pilot’s occupations.
  • Work experience
  • Language skills
  • Meet the point score required for selection. The score is calculated through education, work experience, language proficiency in English or French, and records of employment

The selected appellants in the Skills Immigration or Express Entry BC categories need to be registered in the BC PNP’s portal and also in its Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS).

Being selected for the provincial nomination is a lucrative option for the applicant as well as one gets eligible for extra 600 bonus points in the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) scores calculation at a federal level.

For a lot of occupation, BC is one of the most suited provinces. The manufacturing sector, managerial work, and also IT work have loads of opportunities to offer. Further, British Columbia has also been extremely active in the pandemic time, and the last draw of the province saw one of the largest draws this year, with 450 applicants making it to the Provincial Nomination.
