The selected applicants had an Educational Credential assessments (ECA) done and met the Expression of Interest (EOI) score requirements of 68 points with the connection to the province or at least ten years of work experience or a Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) score of at least 8. Otherwise, the applicant required a score of 69 points.
In the latest draw, the applicants were invited only if they had the work experience in one of the province's 50 eligible occupations. Some of the occupations were - financial managers, human resources professionals, and occupational therapists.
The Occupations In-Demand subcategory of the Saskatchewan Immigration nominee program is for those applicants who don't have a Federal Express Entry profile. It is a subcategory for high Skilled workers with experience in the in-demand occupation in Saskatchewan, But they don't have any job offer in hand as yet.
The applicants who created an EOI profile through the SINP's online application system only those applicants can apply through this category.
The applicants are evaluated out of 100 in the SINP's International Skilled Worker Points Assessment Grid. From this, the high scoring applicants are selected for immigration.
The SINP has invited 3256 candidates in the nominations so far. These candidates are from Occupations In-Demand subcategory and the Saskatchewan Linked Express entry category.
The Saskatchewan's Express Entry subcategory is the enhanced PNP, which is linked to the federal Express Entry System. The candidates in the express entry pool should also have the EOI profile considered in this category.
The applicants selected for provincial Nomination are eligible for 600 points in the Federal express entry system.
